ICoMEIA 2024 recognizes the importance of copyright protection and aims to ensure that authors’ intellectual property rights are respected while allowing for the dissemination and reuse of scholarly work. Our policies regarding copyright and licensing are as follows:
1. Copyright Ownership
– Authors retain the copyright of their original work submitted to ICoMEIA 2024. By submitting their work, authors grant ICoMEIA 2024 the right to publish and distribute the content.
2. Licensing Options
– Authors are encouraged to choose appropriate licensing options that determine how their work can be shared and reused by others ICoMEIA 2024 supports the use of Creative Commons licenses to facilitate different levels of permission and reuse while ensuring proper attribution.
– Authors will be prompted to select a licensing option during the submission process. Details regarding different licensing models will be provided.
3. Open Access and Licensing
– For articles or conference proceedings published under an open access model, authors may be required to choose a specific Creative Commons license that aligns with the open access principles. This allows for immediate and unrestricted access to the published content while specifying usage permissions.
4. Reuse and Permissions
– Readers and users of content published by ICoMEIA 2024 are expected to comply with the specified licensing terms and properly attribute the work to the original authors.
– Permission requests for reusing, reproducing, or adapting published content should be directed to the authors or ICoMEIA 2024 based on the applicable licensing terms.
5. Copyright Infringement and Compliance
– ICoMEIA 2024 takes copyright infringement seriously and promptly addresses any reported violations. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe upon the rights of others and comply with copyright laws and ethical standards.
