The procedures for appeals and complaints are as follows:
1. Submission of Appeals or Complaints
– Authors, reviewers, or concerned parties who wish to submit an appeal or complaint should do so in writing and address it to the editorial office of ICoMEIA 2024.
– Appeals or complaints should clearly outline the nature of the concern, providing specific details, relevant documentation, and supporting evidence whenever possible.
2. Review and Evaluation
– Upon receipt of an appeal or complaint, the editorial office will acknowledge its receipt and initiate an investigation into the matter.
– The editorial team or an appointed committee will thoroughly review the appeal or complaint, considering all relevant information and conducting necessary inquiries.
3. Timely Resolution
– Every effort will be made to resolve appeals or complaints in a timely manner. However, the duration for resolution may vary depending on the complexity of the issue and the need for a comprehensive investigation.
– Throughout the process, the parties involved will be kept informed of the progress and outcomes of the review.
4. Final Decision and Communication
– After careful review and evaluation, a final decision will be made by the editorial team or designated committee.
– The decision will be communicated to the parties concerned, along with a detailed explanation of the rationale behind the decision.
5. Confidentiality and Impartiality
– All appeals and complaints will be handled with confidentiality and impartiality. Confidential information provided during the appeals or complaints process will be treated with utmost care.
